I want to say first of all that I have been inspired to begin blogging by the experience of participating as a member and poster of comments at TOD, which is going inactive within the next few days.
The authors, staff, and members all will continue to live on in my heart, like friends who have moved away, to be seen and heard from only at long intervals, if at all.
But the separation need not be final. A good number of us have blogs, and hopefully we will be able to come together again, someplace, achieve again the critical mass of intelligent, courteous, and well-informed members that made TOD the ultimate news and energy site.
If things work out here at this blog, a number of us old TOD hands will enjoy some thought-provoking and entertaining articles.
If anyone wants to have some of his original work published here, he is welcome.
I plan to write and post something relevant to the same stuff we talked about at TOD about once a week, with some emphasis given to selecting topics in the news.
With a little luck, the old TOD Campfire feature will be reborn here in a small way. I'm open to suggestions as to what I should call it.
Unless something else grabs my attention, I will post a nontechnical overview of the EV and hybrid auto markets sometime this week; my personal opinions as to where these markets are headed, and what this all means to us collectively.
Comments will be enabled.
